Hockey: Indian eves draw series vs England

Indian women hockey team ended its tour of England on a modest note, drawing the last match 2-2 and five-match series 1-1 in Marlow today. Led by Rani Rampal, the 18-member Indian team featured three players from Odisha _ defender Deep Grace Ekka, mid-fielders Lilima Minz and Namita Toppo.

Deep Grace played her 200th international in the fourth match of the series on October 2. Namita made a comeback into the side after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury.

But according to England Hockey, it was a three-match series and they won it by 1-0 margin. It was, therefore, not clear whether India played the first two matches against Great Britain or some other team.
